Dancing, Exercise and Laughter


Dancing, Exercise and Laughter keeps your heart young!  This is a demo dance for Maynard’s beginner swing class with our Pitch In members.  Laughter is excellent for your blood pressure whether high or low.  Exercising by doing something fun is not exercise at all but your body will respond the same.  When I was coming back from my illness in Canada I started ballroom dance lessons and found it very challenging but it gave me a goal and it gave me a whole new set of friends with common interests.  We need to reach out side of the box to change what created the illness in the first place.  I married my dance instructor in California but now we have to set time away from every day chores to do what attracted us in the first place – still a challenge but a rewarding one.  Please reach out and do what makes your heart sing with like-minded people.  Your body and mind will thank you for it!
