Personal Development

Depression is a closet illness.  When I was teaching Holistic Health Classes in Canada I would always touch on Depression and wait for after the class for even my closest friends to come to me with questions  Depression is an illness like any other illness.  It could be brought on by the simplest imbalance in your minerals, a lack of serotonin or not absorbing your B Vitamins.  Yet it is looked down on and hid from the public eye.  When I had Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia I had debilitating Depression. When I realized what was happening to me I would immerse into a detox spa and pull out the heavy metals and toxins.  Especially during the full moon, the liver releases the emotional metal copper and causes havoc on our systems.  We don’t actually howl at the moon but that is not to say that we don’t feel like howling.  There will be a couple of days of unending negativity that makes you wonder why you should stay above the water in a detox spa when going below would end the emotional and physical pain.  There is no way that a thought like that would ever reach our brain on a normal day when we are grateful just to be alive!

The Pain of Depression

Finding a good Vitamin B Complex is essential for Depression. In fact, there are places in Europe that will not give a prescription for an antidepressant until a patient has tried a complete Vitamin B Complex for at least three months.

The person or persons living with someone who experiences Depression also needs help in knowing how to deal with a negative person.  It is hard to love and support someone who is striking out at you but very necessary that you learn the skills to do so.  I do have a handout for the care giver at that time.  Simply leave a note on my website advancedcleansingsystems.com and I will be happy to email it off to you.  Fortunately, I have been through the experience myself “been there, done that and got the T-shirt” and would be happy to help you with any questions.

Most important to remember for yourself or a loved one going through the experience is that it is a bad thing happening to a good person. The last paragraph in the poem below helps explain the dark threads. This too shall pass but it is a challenging  time for all concerned.

The Plan of the Master Weaver (author unknown)

My life is but a weaving between the Lord and me,
I may not choose the colors,
He knows what they should be
For He can see  the pattern upon the upper side,
While I can see it only on this, the under side…

Sometimes He weaves sorrow, which seems strange to me,
But I will trust His judgement, and work on faithfully,
‘Tis He who fills the shuttle, and He knows what is best,
So I shall weave in earnest, leaving to Him the rest…

Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why -
The dark threads are as needed in the Weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.
